    The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) 
    The world's largest organization of food and nutrition professionals — registered dietitian nutritionists, dietetic technicians, registered, and other dietetics professionals holding undergraduate and advanced degrees in nutrition and dietetics, and students. AND is committed to improving the nation's health and advancing the profession of dietetics through research, education and advocacy.

    Dietary Guidelines for Americans  
    The Dietary Guidelines for Americans encourages individuals to eat a healthful diet — one that focuses on foods and beverages that help achieve and maintain a healthy weight, promote health, and prevent chronic disease.

    ChooseMyPlate.gov  
    Provides practical information to individuals, health professionals, nutrition educators, and the food industry to help consumers build healthier diets with resources and tools for dietary assessment, nutrition education, and other user-friendly nutrition information.

    National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine  
    The Federal Government's lead agency for scientific research on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) NCCAM conducts and supports basic and applied research and training and disseminates information on complementary and alternative medicine to practitioners and the public.

    National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES)  
    A series of periodic surveys that collect height, weight, nutrition, and medical information on the US population.

    National Institutes of Health Office of Dietary Supplements (ODS)  
    The mission of ODS is to strengthen knowledge and understanding of dietary supplements by evaluating scientific information, stimulating and supporting research, disseminating research results, and educating the public to foster an enhanced quality of life and health for the U.S. population.
